Harry, Our grandchildren will thank us for this with the hindsight of success, the collapse of the EUSSR and a clear head not influenced by Project Fear.

Watch 'Brexit the movie' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTMxfAkxfQ0

The best thing that has ever happened to this country, in recent years, is to have left the EU - Globalisation, no thanks. The only people that wanted us to stay in Europe are the well off - large corporations, rich folk - they were only interested in looking after themselves, not the common folk.

To answer the question - no.
However we will be watching events as they unfold a little more keenly than usual and try to adapt, if necessary, to whatever happens.
I do not think this is the end of the world as we knew it - just one of those storms that have to endured to the best of our ability. There may be some damage as a result - we fix it and continue with the journey.

From what I have seen this weekend, from popping out, shopping, etc. it is business as normal. It will be for approximately another two years or so. Can I comprehend some major crash as a result of all this? Yes. Will it happen? Maybe.

I will be increasing my preps over the coming months, but not because of the outcome, but because I was planning to do so irrespective of the referendum.

Freeing them from the shackles of the EU Socialist Super State w

Stopping the unelected EU Commission stripping money from the economies of the successful Northern European Countries to support the poorer Southern/Mediterranean and Eastern European Countries??

Allowing uncontrolled immigration not only from other European countries, but also from throughout Africa; Asia and the Middle East??

Giving them control back over their own Country??

Allowing British companies to trade more freely with countries outside of the UK which were previously subject to massive EU trade tariffs which made us completely uncompetitive??

All the young seem to be concerned about is unrestricted travel around Europe. Who says that will even disappear....??

Will the British still buy Renaults, BMW's, Merc's, Audis etc - YES!!

Will the rest of Europe still buy Range Rovers, Jag's, Nissans (Built in Sunderland), Barbour Jackets, Burberry etc etc... - YES!!

Will we still go on holiday to Europe?? YES

Will Europeans still Visit London and will the Dutch still Tour the UK with their Caravans....?? YES...

So what exactly what has been done that affects our Grandchild so badly??

Nothing as far as I can see, other than giving them hope for a better and stronger future.

In the US as well as the EU political correctness run amok is showing its ugly head. Look at all the requirements to accommodate transgender people. Policies are finalized, and it looks like those accommodations now include voice transition lessons to go along with the surgeries all paid for with our tax dollars.

The lawyers can't decide how cross dressers fit in with the trannies. Poor dears... Best reason I can think of to require females and those of unknown, confused or disoriented gender to register for the draft. If women can serve in Special Forces, the Airborne, Rangers and SEALS, then if we are to have true equality nobody should be exempt from the draft and all should serve. No deferments.

All the social engineering of the US armed forces is a distraction to reduce the lethality and efficiency of the American fighting machine so the Mohamadans will have a fair chance at colonizing the western world.

At least the UK now has a fighting chance to preserve western values.

Let every person do their duty...

Thumbs Up  RE: Brexit will you be increasing your prepping?
Brexit has been the big story in the news for the last week. As a result, the questions have started floating around: Will this have an impact on us in the US? What does it mean for the world economy? And most importantly, as preppers, what should we do in response?

Here is a brief overview of Brexit, its impact on the world and what it means for preppers. https://survivallife.com/what-preppers-s...ut-brexit/

To be honest i am more concerned about the imminent total collapse of the US dollar along with the Euro ....but you hear nothing on the MM about this .....as for what should be done as preppers ? most here in the UK been doing what has been proposed for years...at least i have and i have no doubts US preppers have also.

So it would serve us all better to look at the USA ....Brexit is just a walk on part...but a part none the less ......should we increase preps ? what do you think ! FM hello !

As the US economy now stands we are in better shape than we have experienced in 10 years.

The real economists, not the political hacks but the real bean counters, just this month announced that housing starts, home prices, unemployment and wages were all back to pre-2008 levels and the "Great Recession" was actually over. This is 8 years after TPTB claimed it was over in the national propaganda while we were still trying to pull our individual selves out of the mire.

I have been "Prepping" since 1970 and for the entire 47 years I have heard the same message, heard the same advice and watched the same people get rich selling books, gear and supplies. In that 47 years of observation I have seen the cycle rotate several times and the result is always the same. The doom-sayers sell books, tapes and disks, the freeze dried food vendors laugh all the way to the bank and the surplus materials dealers build bigger estates.

I have also seen that there is one continuous truth about preppers. No matter what happens, where they are, or what the date shows be it 1960 or 2017, they are still preparing for the same series of fears; financial collapse, social collapse, political collapse, World War 3, return to the dark ages. Some of us older fellows have seen three generations discover this instinctive fear and fund the continued wealth of the authors and vendors.

The real enlightenment is that no matter how good things are or how well everyone all around is doing the prepper still retains his/her deep seated fear of whatever it is that makes their butts pucker.

Is prepping a home remedy for clinical depression? When you just can not see how anything good is going to happen, the government is filled with buffoons, your pay check simply will not cover the expenses, the doctor gives you a bad report or you decide you wish to become the king of the world during the coming social collapse, prepping gives one something to do to distract from reality. Cans of beans under the sink, a wind turbine on the roof, a catapult, butcher knife and a cricket bat to stave off the attacking hordes, scrambling through boot sales looking for scrap gold.

I suppose it is something to do even if it makes no real sense.

I reached a point of realization when it occurred to me that I had enough food to outlast my supply of heart medication and age, wear and tear was now my great limitation and would be what decided when I will expire.

I am going to die, probably during the next decade. No amount of prepping is going to change that. I do not need a new supply of food with a 30 year shelf life, I now have trouble getting in and out of the Bug Out Vehicle and I am in pain much of the time, in fact I am in pain as I type this post. All of the gear I have accumulated will probably one day be sold to fund my stay in the old folks home if I do not fall of a roof and kill myself while trying to do some kind of prepper $h!t.

I am glad you think/believe that the U S economy has recovered and its the best its been in ten years MB .....i can now understand fully why so many millions of your countrymen are on food stamps ? and most all graduates struggle to repay for their student loans and struggle to afford medical insurance ....and are forced to live with mammy n daddy because the part time job flicking burgers will not cover even the most frugal of lifestyles .....but your not alone..... its as bad here for all the same reasons....but i do respect your view MB and enjoyed your post....they always force a recalculation ...no bad thing....you do not have to be right because you are a old fart with a lifetime of experience neither do i equally an old fart with not so much experience.....points of view should be debated that's how we all learn and develop our own life compass.....i am now going to work on a winch idea i have to get you in and out of your BOV ....blue print should be ready for your perusal shortly.....you may have to loose the roof though.
