RE: Flat Tyre question post SHTF
The Silverline tyre repair kit part no 380421 that Devonian recommended is still available on amazon £9.00 + £3.98 delivery. I used a similar type of kit over 30 years ago, worked well for nails/screws in the tread.

I only found this thread by chance while browsing but I used a similar dunlop kit over 30 years ago............it worked very well so I thought I’d check out the link to the Silverline kit .............It’s cheaper than a new tyre.

RE: Flat Tyre question post SHTF
I remember a few weeks back when the current supply chain problems kept SS from getting the tires he needed exactly when he wanted them.
I think it was SS, might have been someone else.
Kits like these can keep worn tires on the road when new ones are not available due to shipping problems, production shortages, or government rationing of products.
They are also available cheaper than the Slimline kit I see. The "box stores" have them for way less. I have one in the Jeep and a couple in the toolbox in the shop as extras. The utility trailer is currently being held off the ground by the spray foam in both tires,
Mechanics hate it but they are not the ones sitting on the side of the road in the dark and rain.

Yes they are usually very good and also usually very well priced for the level of quality. I bought a pair of Silverline Calipers recently and very good quality for the price.
