I see the advice online for the general population is to stock up on batteries in case of power cuts and have £400 in cash at home, I dont know how they came up with the £400 figure or why.

That’s rubbish advice but what do you expect from tptb.

They should come and ask us, we’re the experts  .

If the cash machines stop working enough cash for two weekly shops would be useful.

SHTF there would nowhere to buy anything and nothing to buy....Too late suckers .

Spend your cash NOW on the basic preps, shelter water food etc.

If anything does come our way (cyber attacks ect)I believe it will be temporary .

the Palestinians protesters thought of the raf base attack ,but if Russia did that its a act of war .

Normal preps and cash for a month should see most of us through.

depends, a cyber attack could be short lived but a Russian sub could cut the undersea cables, they have already plotted where they are and its a simple job to cut them, oil pipeline too, then we would have to be self sufficient in energy but we dont produce enough for that to happen.

what the Palestinian protestors did was sabotage pure and simple, I think they have arrested 6 now for that, they should all go to prison for a long time, in a war situation that would be treason and they could all be shot .

A cyber attack might be short lived but look how long the M&S attack has lasted, Russia, 
China, North Korea and Iran and many criminal gangs try constantly to bring us down.

Pipelines, electricity inter-connectors and data cables if severed who knows how long to 
repair, and how do you attribute blame ?, all grey zone, but deep shit for us all.

What can we do for when it happens ?, to make life a little easier.

A stock of water and the means to sterilise it, food, coal or wood for heating, bottle gas for
cooking, batteries for torches and a radio preferably some solar power to recharge them.

once the power grid goes down, internet cables are cut and pipelines shut down, that will be it for the majority of the population who live day to day and have no supplies put back, once this all happens any prepper who it is know has supplies will be a target especially in the big cities or large urban enclaves.
if all these services which people rely on go down I am not expecting them to get back to normal any time soon, maybe never, especially with this incompetent Labour govt, we are all on our own and the sooner people realise that the better.
