A few Questions
#1
Sorry if any of these have come up before...
1. Where can I get foodsafe buckets with lids, as well as mylar bags, oxygen absorbers etc? I have found a few kits for sale but they seem very expensive
2. Where can I get canning jars? I ask because I want to be able to reuse preserving stuff, instead of falling into the trap of buying a whole heap of food and eating through it all only to be left with useless tins.
3. Are online grocers like rosspa and Shorters a good idea? They seem very cheap, and shorters sell stuff in bulk, but does delivery null any savings?
Woe to those who add house to house and join field to field, Until there is no more room, So that you have to live alone in the midst of the land!

Is there a diff between a pressure canning machine and a pressure cooker pot thing? I looked on Ebay and the Us is the only place that does pressure canning machine, even though it looks like a pot, one of our pressure cooker pots.

Yes there is, a Pressure Canner is much bigger and the pressure control is more accurate than a pressure cooker. To 'can' low acid foods such as veg, meats and fish, you need to raise the temperature above boiling point and maintain it for a considerable period of time. Also, the processing time is calculated to include the heating and cooling period of the canner, because a pressure cooker is so much smaller and is made of thinner gauge metal, the heating and cooling times are affected and there may not be sufficient processing to destroy the target bacteria(namely Botulinum). Try Lakeland and there is a Mormon owned company in Wales I believe that keeps pressure and vaccuum canning gear, plus grain mills etc.
