fats
Apart from the odd tinned pork product or tinned fish a lot of the food we store it lacking in fats. It's both a necessary part of our diet and contains a lot of calories (something we'll all need more of in a disaster).
So what fats, oils, etc are people storing and do you have plans for them other than the frying pan?
I'm storing 3 litres vegetable oil, 1kg of tinned ghee, 2 litres of olive oil (yummy for dipping bread in) and 2 half pint jars of butter (need to do more but I wanted to test it out before I bulked up)

RE: fats
I have tins of margarine, and plan to get more bottles of oil. Pigs or oily fish like shad would be a good long term source of renewable fat.

RE: fats
I've stored a lot of oils and cheeses. Although one of my cheeses for some reason went off quickly. Think it got hot and didn't like it. There are fats in nuts as well. i have a lot of those in my famil... stores.
