hello from south wales.......buy yourself a dehydrator bout £38.00 ...got mine a few weeks back off amazon....its brilliant ...not stopped using it you will reduce the size of stuff eg oranges 2 big bags from the market say 4 k ...fitted into glass jar ...the range of stuff you can dehydrate is huge...meat aswell...can,t reccomend the process enough GO GET ONE

For me, if you eat it, and it'll last a while, buy it and store it.

If it takes a while to process into edible form, but lasts years, then it's a good purchase....providing you would eat it.

Really, it doesn't need to be more complex than that.

Tins, dried, freeze dried, MREs, jars, pickled, or anything like that is a fair plan.

One thing worth checking out, self supplying. Grow your own, and learning to forrage. Also, planting trees in areas that you frequent. I know a guy that has planted over 30 apple trees in and around his location.
