Some inspiration of urban peppers
Providing you dont get burnt out by rioters, looters, disease, etc and you want to stay in the city these rooftops may inspire you.

I have a flat roofed brick built (concrete roofed) old style "wash-house on the side of my house that would make an ideal veggie growing area. Have been thinking about it for a while and this has inspired me to investigate a little further. Thanks for the heads-up, NR.

NR, you should check out window farms. You could set up a small solar panel to power the pump, then you're on to a winner.
