hydrogen peroxide
I have never used hydrogen peroxide before and I have no idea which type would be best to have. I have been told that when poured over a wound it reacts with infection and bubbles so u know when the wound is clean when it stops bubbling. Is this true? Is it an item worth getting? How much should I get? Etc etc. any advice guys and gals? Smile

RE: hydrogen peroxide
You can get different strengths up to 35%.
You dilute it to the strength you want.
Its basically a liquid form of oxygen.
They use it to add oxygen to rivers that have contamination which has removed the oxygen content.
Here are ways to use it.

Think of it as being something you can put ON your skin, but that you don't want UNDER your skin!

I'd rather use vodka to clean a wound. Much safer.

My mistake. Sodium Hypochlorite is household bleach. Hydrogen peroxide isn't!!!

However a quick wiki search suggests its very dangerous to use on wounds, even when diluted to a very low concentration.

So do we. We just know it as brand names. Many of these wound cleaners in hospitals have that as an ingredient.

It's perfectly ok to use hydrogen peroxide, just so long as you are not daft enough to drink it! I use it to clean out wounds on the horses and in case of their foot problems. Like anything, just take care.
