if anyone is interested on Ebay at present is bulk buy pack of 16 Wayfarer "real food, ready to eat" food packs for £45 with free postage, singly they sell for £4.50 +£1p&p, so you would seem to get them for about half price this way.

my links are never that good! go onto Ebay and put in the search box: BULK BOX OF 16 Wayfarer warm in the bag food....its should come up first on the page...I've tried it three times and it comes up each time. enjoy.

if I hadn't spent my entire allowance this month I would have gone for it myself....apart from the fact its all the spicy menu's, I prefer the hotpot type meals myself....I can get them locally for £5 each and pick the ones I want.

I like them better to eat them than bugger all. the British rats are best ,you get more for your money ,the MREs from the states are good but there is only 12 hours of food in them and 24 hours in the brit packs ,the oat block is lovely very nice with a cup of tea

If you can find them, go for the British Ration pack, American "MRE's" usually have an even higher postage price and be far more likely to be out of date, not that it matters with temperature sealed food, but you will have to rotate it eventually. If you consider one meal in a bag from say, GO Outdoors is 5.99-8.99, £15 for a whole day, which believe me, you can make it stretch for 3 is relatively cheap. Ebay's a very good source, never seen 40 for £20 though.

All the wayfarer meals i've tried are exactly the same as the british army ration packs.

thats a decent deal on pouches, though i prefer packs as the sundries and suchlike are brilliant.
