I've been watching the unfolding of Jade Helm with a lot of interest and a measure of trepidation. This "training exercise" could be the prepositioning of assets for some form of martial law. I do NOT believe that the current administration plans to go quietly off into the night after the elections next year.

Add to this the flood of illegal immigrants who want nothing more than to take over the US and drag it back to 3rd world status, the probably collapse of the economy and demise of the US dollar, and "something wicked this way comes".

All isn't lost however. The general population here has been loading up on firearms and ammunition since 2008. There is also an organization called "Oath Keepers" whose members have faced down Federal Bureau of Land Management thugs twice now in the last 12 months. Most people here vary from "mildly pissed off" to "damned mad", so if things go south, it will be with a bang, not a whimper.

I must agree that the current admin dies not intend to surrender power with grace. Obama has stated that his presidency will "continue", whatever that means.

One of the aspects of Martial Law in the US is that it suspends and supersedes any elections in order to preserve order and avoid confusion of transition.

Obama could trigger a series of "false flag" actions just before the inauguration of the next president and declare ML, making himself the effective dictator and preventing the new president from taking office.

It might be noted that Obama does not just despise the opposition leaders over here, he also despises the leaders of the factions in his own party. He would not care which political party won the election and would dispose of either.
