I keep some battery powered LED reading lights plus light sticks for power cuts, a tad safer than candles in the short term cos i dont have enough candle lanterns

I hate the dark, an unreasonable fear of not being able to see whats around me... so I have stupid amounts of candles, flashlights, lanterns etc. I am fine walking about at night with just the moonlight... its when there is actually no light that i get uncomfortable, but I have also thought that in a long term situation i would use the light as much as possible, so sleep more in winter, stay up loner in summer...

After the 1990 hurricane we were without power and telephone for over a week had to rely on our old rayburn for cooking and hurricane lamps for light. To me it just means an early night and early rise
