I noticed that our local swallow population seemingly vanished overnight.

Our family of bats that live in the dilapidated barn in the garden are still out and about though. Brilliant to watch them fly around, until they dive bomb you Big Grin

Well we still have our midges, and the sky is full of swallows,... but there again, up here we are about a month behind you guys

came home last night about 830ish it was a clear , cloud free night everybody chimleys were smoking , had your fire / heating on yet
