SD, You could take up Vermiculture which,of course, is breeding compost worms. A worm farm is easily constructed. Search for Worm city on the web for much more detail. When your worms multiply within a few months, feed the excess worms to your chicks, or go fishing. Meal worms too can be cultivated, but I know very little about these, other than these too will feed chickens. Kenneth Eames.
