1. Where can I get foodsafe buckets with lids, as well as mylar bags, oxygen absorbers etc? I have found a few kits for sale but they seem very expensive
2. Where can I get canning jars? I ask because I want to be able to reuse preserving stuff, instead of falling into the trap of buying a whole heap of food and eating through it all only to be left with useless tins.
3. Are online grocers like rosspa and Shorters a good idea? They seem very cheap, and shorters sell stuff in bulk, but does delivery null any savings?
1.. Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers: best prices in UK plus 10% starting
31/10/12 - also repeat customers get 5% off their next order

Food grade buckets of various sizes:
Ampulla (link below:- various sellers on Ebay which are cheaper

3. Never purchased from rosspa before but Shorters Club are good - I
live in Essex and standard delivery £3.99 - I ordered 40kg worth of stuff the other day - one recommendation double check their prices though - some things are at great prices, but there are some "bulk" price items that work out more expensive than just buying multiple items of the same thing from any grocer i.e. Heinz Ketcup - works out cheaper to buy the 1.35kg bottle from grocery @ £3.00 a few times and works out better than buying the bulk bottle from Shorters.
Essentially like all wholesalers and groceries you dont get the best deal on everything - you will have so shop around i.e I buy my 20kg bags of rice from local cash and carry store - but there is no way I would buy other products, which is much too expensive
Hope this helps
