I don't think 500 calories wouldn't be enough to fuel one of my sneezes!

Despite this, 12 days seems a bit soon to me, unless there was some kind of water contamination.
Most un-prepped people have more that 12 days of food in the house, and water is obtainable from other sources... even by idiots.
I don't know for sure, just my gut reaction. Maybe people are stupider than I give them credit for? ... and I don't give them much.

And Big Paul, what can you not survive more than "3 hours" without? ;-)

most sheeple only have enough food for 3 days not 12, especially here where there is a Co-op 5 minutes away. and you cannot survive 3 hours "without shelter from extreme heat or extreme cold". and yes i think people are stupider than you give them credit for. what is it we used to say" if brains were gunpowder, they wouldnt have enough to assasinate an ant"
