RE: What have done towards your prep?
Today has seen me back into the stores to start kitting up again.

Big-ass bottle of camping gas (for winter power-cut fun)
Small-ass bottle of camping gas (for the BOB)
New compasses (one for me, one for her)
Keyring tin-openers
Keyring torches
Flint and Steel (for her)
and 2 vegetarian (for her) MRE's.

As you can tell, I'm getting everything ready for her.

We're building up her EDC and GHB, working towards the BOB.

That is a damn good idea!!!! Nice one.

I was looking for CERT (Community Emergency Response Team.....but might just be American) or SRT (Search & Rescue Team) groups when I was over in Bristol, but was super busy. Still am, but it is something I keep meaning to look into.
I've just applied to a 'local' search and rescue team. Not sure I'll get in though.

Wanted to add tins of Swede turnip to stockpile as its a good veg for many meals and blended with carrot makes a nice mix on a sunday dinner. Found two places selling tinned Swede both in Scotland, one has a defective website that would not let me register the other was just to expensive at £2.20 a tine !!!!, So still looking for affordable tins of Turnip.

Recently got me a nice crowbar to keep in my USK (Urban Survival Kit...for if I'm going to enter the urban environment post SHTF).

Also got some gaffa tape, and cable ties. Please note, the ties have been purchased to teach my lady how to break out of them. For those of you that don't know, you just open your elbows and slam your arms down against your stomach. The shock will be enough to break/fold the plastic tag that stops the cable opening.
