Good point...

well, that leaves only 2 options:
1 - Kip outside
2 - Strip off naked, put on your best Swedish accent and burst in singing "The Hills Are Alive..."

Unless its full to bursting point, no-one can refuse you access, they are there for travelers, no as a private accomodation

I'm not the most outgoing person you'll ever meet so I couldn't really share a bothy with strangers. I'd rather rough it alone in a tent than share a crowded bothy.
