I do not understand why the bodies of dead ebola patients are still being buried. Wouldn't you think it would be safe to cremate them? Never mind about religious niceties and suchlike, this virus is a disaster.

Many of these people are Islamic. Cremation is forbidden. The bodies must be washed by hand, shrouded and buried within 24 hours.

Touching the departed as a farewell gesture is also a widespread custom in that area.

These burial and funeral customs are one reason why the disease has spread so rapidly through west Africa.

The fear of "improper treatment" of the dead is why so many of the families hide the infected.

I'd like to alert you all to the fact that this CRISIS unfolding in Europe and the rest of the world will IMO ....cud have a huge knock on effect on the economy.... People I'll not going into work..delays on transport ..fear of contamination...think garages..as in petrol stations will deffo be affected...but so will banks and will effect peoples finances too ..as in cash points being emptied....and possibly not getting filled up ...this will be a huge blow to people panic buying....get your money out now ..before the sheeple rush ....money is ..at the end just gonna be toilet paper...we have had similar discussions on here about gold.....I'd rather have the food ..meds ..protective gear..and water....

don't panic just yet, this thing hasn't even got here yet, direct flights to and from West Africa have been stopped, when I hear about people dropping like flies around Heathrow then I will bring my plan into operation, but as I live a long way from any "international flight hub" i'll keep my preps up to speed and take normal precautions when amongst "the masses" but any more than that is not necessary at this time.
