Compound bow advice sought

it is fairly obvious that in the UK following a collapse we NEED a large die off of the population as without imports we CANNOT feed the current population as it stands.
Some people that prefer to be alone arent anti-social they just have no time for drama, stupidity and false people.

Our Deer are obviously different to yours Mort, that's because they are of a different species. We do not have Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer or any of your species. So of course they are different. Using your logic you could say that Lions and Tigers are the same, they patently are not, that's what I meant. Plus the hunting pressure your Deer experience is exponentially greater than anything our Deer will ever experience simply due to the numbers of people who Hunt with firearms in the USA. Plus how many people "have a pop" at Deer in the USA without ever holding a hunting licence. Your Deer in the USA are constantly being shot and hunted, ours are not.

Well he is fair game because he does have a habit of running around the moors of Devon in the buff for fun, so he could be mistaken for a Cornish Bigfoot ? Smile

Lets not forget that huge chunks of the UK are unsuitable for human habitation, Welsh and Scots highlands, chunks of the Pennines, Lumps of the Fens and Dales etc. Many of these areas would cost an absolute fortune to build a house and run electricity to never mind gas, water, sewage, interweb etc. No shops, Schools, Medical facilities. We "Yumans" tend to live on the low fertile flat bits and flood plains.

The UK is the most densely populated place in Europe.

Absolutely right, but consider also that small plots of land that get a lot of human effort can be incredibly productive - look at your new friends allotments for example. Add some chickens or geese and you have pest control, some pigs clear up the waste veg and manure the land, meat can feed you over winter. If people were allowed to build small homes with composting toilets, wind turbines / solar panels, rainwater collection etc. they could take a lot of the strain off the rest.

I don't think this is a "lifestyle choice" any more, sooner or later it has to happen, so we might as well learn how to do it now while there is still a safety net in place.
